ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Hymenocallis littoralis is a member of the Hymenocallis genus of the Amaryllidaceae family, which is native to the tropical American region and the West Indies. In recent years, it has been cultivated in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan provinces in China. Its leaves and bulbs have the eect of relaxing tendons, and they relieve swelling and pain. Research shows that the pancratistatine of Hymenocallis has a distinct anti-tumor eect. This paper mostly reviews the current achievements on chemical composition and pharmacological eects of H. littoralis.
