ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: This article evaluates the eect of postoperative thyroid neck elastic tourniquet involved in increasing the comfort level, reducing the amount of bleeding, and improving the satisfaction of clients. A total of 120 thyroid surgery patients in our hospital were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. Patients used the neck elastic tourniquet in the experimental group, and patients were given oppression using 0.5-kg-heavy sandbags in the control group. The results show that comfort and satisfaction in the experimental group was significantly more than that in the control group (P < 0.05); blood loss in the former was significantly less than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The neck elastic tourniquet used in thyroidectomy can eectively reduce postoperative bleeding of neck and improve comfort and satisfaction of patients.
