ABSTRACT

Aloe can be used as an astringent for sores, eliminates stasis to activate blood circulation, maintains hemostasis, and so on and from the records of “collection of Chinese herbal medicines” it is applied externally for the treatment of scald. Fresh aloe juice contains enzymes (Wang, 2013), which is rich in amino acids (Li, 2012) and has pharmacological eects on anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound healing. This paper will report the use of fresh aloe juice for the treatment of scald and provide experimental basis for the clinical use of aloe.
