ABSTRACT: Melodinus sp. a very rare medicinal plant belonging to the family of Apocynaceae. Six dierent extracts of Melodinus sp. leaves and barks were screened for their in vitro antitumor activities, among the extracts, the bark and leaf chloroform extract showed significant antitumor activities, the most susceptible cell line is the human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Besides, HCT-116 colorectal carcinoma cells lines and HT-29 human colon cancer line also have excellent results.
