ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A zinc oxide nanorod biosensor for the detection of Alpha Feta Protein (AFP) has been fabricated and tested. A low-cost solution growth technique was used to grow the zinc oxide nanorods which serve as the transducer. To enhance signal detection, a Wheatstone bridge microelectrode configuration is applied. A real-time detection limit of AFP target cells of 1 ng/ml has been demonstrated using an electrochemical detection method.
