ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A simple amperometric enzyme biosensor for the determination of glucose was constructed. Glucose Oxidase (GOX) was covalently bonded with Ag doped Fe3O4 nanoparticles (GOX-Ag@Fe3O4) via Glutaraldehyde (GA) and Chitosan (CS) was used to immobilize the modified electrode. The performance of GOX-Ag@Fe3O4 assembled electrode was studied by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV). The detection limit of the biosensor was 0.02 mM (S/N = 3). A good linear relationship between the current signals and the concentrations of glucose was achieved from 0.06 to 23 mM. In addition, the sensor has some important advantages such as simple preparation, fast response and good stability. Therefore, this proposed strategy could be applied to detect glucose in human serum sample.
