Restoration of monumental rammed earth buildings in Spain in the last decade according to the 1% Cultural Program

ABSTRACT

The 1% Cultural Programme is currently being developed by cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Development. It began with the 1985 Law of Historic Heritage, which stipulated the obligation of allocating at least 1% of contracts for public works to the conservation or embellishment of the Spanish historic heritage. In this programme, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Development generates most of the funds for the 1% Cultural Programme (Sánchez Llorente 2010).
