ABSTRACT
Such social and governance instabilities, together with fortuitous natural disasters, such as the regular overflows of the Júcar river, justified the construction of the new Massalavés’s fortifications, using the remains of the Arab tower, as well as the various interventions of repair and refurbishment which the building went through during the first times of its existence.
