ABSTRACT

Some of these places have not been re-inhabited but have been re-used as sheds for sheep (Christie el al. 2004). However, others were temporarily repopulated by Christian settlers.

The case of La Cairola is one of those which retain greater authenticity, as a dispersed settlement marking the territory with its presence in these valleys. It is representative of the long period from the Islamic period until the expulsion of the Moors.
