ABSTRACT
The courtyard is always set inside a block-unit. It takes sunlight into the unit. Besides, in the three villages there are many gardens in front of the dwellings. Especially many of them are in Castielfabib. Since the dwellings on the mountains must be composed with high density, the dwelling complexes in the village give too much shade. Therefore, inhabitants set gardens in front of their dwellings, so that sunlight can enter inside the village.
