ABSTRACT

NTNU Social Research has eight units, and the two involved in this project are CIRiS and Studio Apertura. CIRiS contribute, through the N-USOC (Norwegian User Support and Operations Centre), on a daily basis to support and operate research facilities and experiments on-board the International Space Station (ISS). The N-USOC is an important contributor during planning, development, integration and execution of the different experiments that utilizes the ESA Columbus laboratory on-board ISS. In addition to safety research in the petroleum sector, Studio Apertura has experience from sectors like transport and critical infrastructures. Many of the projects are of a cross-disciplinary character, often focusing on the interplay between formal and informal elements of organizations.
