ABSTRACT
In equation (1) operational readiness, OR is the probability that the system is either available at beginning of the mission or can be brought to an
transportation cycle is the probability of the completion of the aircraft ground service cycle until scheduled time of departure. Mission reliability is the probability of punctual realization of scheduled flight, but design adequacy is the probability of the assignment of the aircraft of sufficient capacity (sufficient number of passenger seats) to accommodate demand for the flight.
