ABSTRACT

IRIDM is a process where a number of qualitatively different inputs, corresponding to different types of risk, are jointly taken into account in the decision making. Relative importance of the IRIDM inputs depend upon the decision to be made and should be weighted quantitatively. The weights assigning, however, is quite subjective and bases mainly on the engineering judgment. This is the main disadvantage of that process which can be improved by application of the Value Tree Analysis (VTA) methods as it was described in this article.
