Workshop on guidelines and recommendations for local governments to mitigate flooding disasters

TechnicalCommittee 303 (TC303) is organized in ISSMGE todiscuss ‘Coastal andRiverDisasterMitigation and Rehabilitation’ (short name ‘Floods’). This activity started from2009, and it belongs to thewider theme of ‘Impact on Society’. Disasters such as tsunami in 2004 Sumatra earthquake in Indonesia, 2005 Hurricane Katrina in USA, and 2009 Typhoon Morakot in Taiwan are the background.
