ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The process of gas-solid flow in new spray granulation tower is studied by numerical simulation and experiment. The calculated flow field and separation efficiency are consistent well with experimental data, which verifies the accuracy of the turbulence model and the calculation method. The study indicates that the swirling flow field formed by arraying nozzles in spray granulation tower can improve the gas-solid separation efficiency. The distribution laws of velocity are in good agreement in different flow rates. The jet-driven swirling flow field is divided to multiple regions according to the simulation results.
