ABSTRACT

The adsorptive removal of Hg(II) and Cu(II) by CWSAC has ever been reported previously (Zabihi et al. 2010; Kim et al. 2001). In this study, we aimed to clarify the likelihood of using CWSAC as a biosorbent for the removal of uranium. The effects of basic parameters such as pH, contact time and U(VI) concentration were investigated and experimental data were also fitted using several equilibrium isotherms and kinetic models.
