ABSTRACT

It is determined, that gas release from breaking areas at other equal conditions depends both on coal production (Guidance on design… 1994), and development of second workings (Antoshchenko et al. 2013). Changing the load onto breakage face can be done at any stage of development of second working. In the early period of longwall face operation is achievement of planned volumes of coal production. Classically such a progress is achieved as a rule gradually after staring the operation of a breakage face. Along with production growth the restarts second working development caused by face’s drawing away from a holing chute. During this period they observe the growth of gas release from underworking zones connected with shift processes in rocks including the initial squeezing of main roof.
