ABSTRACT
Advance rate of stoping face refers to number of factors affecting the geomechanical processes in rock body. The latter, in its turn, impact greatly the level of methane release at excavation sites. Except this the advance rate of face determines the coal production capacity which influences the number of methane released out of broken coal mass (Briuzgina 2004, Polevshchikov & Kozyreva 2002).
