ABSTRACT

Karst (also known as karst) is the general term of geological phenomena and morphology consist of rocks (carbonates, gypsum, rock salt, etc.) which dissolved by constant water erosion. The effects on the stability of the foundation karst come mainly from the following aspects: cave roof collapse leads to ground subsidence so that the upper structure get damaged; uneven foundation settlement; interaction of foundation under rocks along the inclined surface of the weak structure; gushing, flooding and other emergencies accidents; worsening geological conditions (Yan Ping et al. 2012).
