ABSTRACT
The IC (Integrated Circuit) card was created in the 1970s and first applied to the financial and transportation sectors. The development of IC card technology led to more convenient passenger travel and promoted public transportation systems in urban areas. Many researchers have applied the data from IC cards to investigate trip data and transportation planning. Zhou Chonghua provided a method of generating OriginDestination (OD) travel data from subway IC cards [1]. Shi Fumin discussed bus trip OD based on IC card data [2]. Guo Jifu conducted a network reliability evaluation using taxi IC card data [3]. Cao Yeke analyzed operating conditions of bus lines in Shenzhen using IC card data [4]. Bagchi M, White P R, et al. developed a trip investigation project based on IC card data.
