ABSTRACT
Soft soil foundation is widely distributed in our country’s coastal areas, such as Dalian, Qingdao and other places where coastal sedimentary facies prevail. The soft soil is mainly composed of silt and silty soil in terms of its engineering properties. Due to its characteristics of high water content, low strength, low bearing capacity, low permeability and long duration of deformation, settlement is very likely to appear in soft soil regions.
