ABSTRACT
The interconnection between soil suction and dielectric soil properties is therefore not unknown. The soil suction as a measure of the surface bonding forces acting on the soil water phase affects the frequency dependent dielectric properties of soils (Hilhorst et al., 2001). However, there is still a deficiency of knowledge existing in regards to the multi-physical interrelations, particularly in the case of fine-grained soils.
