ABSTRACT

Electrokinetic remediation technology is known as “green remediation technology” because of its high efficiency, no two pollution, saving energy, and in situ remediation characteristics. When the electrode was inserted into the contaminated soil or groundwater, an electric field is formed by applying the direct current. The heavy metal ions in soil directed movement under the action of the electric field near the electrode, was enriched and absorbed on the negative electrode, and the contaminants was separated from soil[7]. The migration mechanism of electrokinetic remediation of heavy metal ions contaminated soils included three modes such as electrodialysis, electromigration and lectrophoresis[8].
