ABSTRACT
As the main body of energy consumption in industry is the key to the whole energy efficiency in China, over the years China’s industrial growth has relied heavily on high input and high energy consumption. The industrial sectors play a dominant role in total energy consumption, and industrial energy consumption accounts for about 70% of the total consumption. The rapid increase of imports and exports, especially in the processing trade, promoting the development of steel, nonferrous metal, building materials, chemical and other high energy consumption industrial sectors, is also an important reason for the rapid rise in the total energy consumption in China recently.
