In addition to rich content and tight organization, diction command and sentence structure also play a decisive role in a good piece of article. The same event and the same point of view can be expressed by different sentence patterns. A good piece of article is clear and consistent in argument, integral in content, natural in cohesion, accurate and vivid in language. Even if an article with the simple sentence being excessive, sentence pattern being monotonous, less syntax errors and clearer plots will also be boring to some extent. If it is full of long, complex sentences, it will be very difficult to understand. Based on simple sentences, with the appropriate, diversified compound sentences and complex sentences, the flexible and varied sentence patterns can improve the writing proficiency. If the simple sentences, complex sentences are used alternately to often transform sentence patterns with the proper use of transitional words, the writing will be more coherent.
