ABSTRACT

The fault knowledge of products is the basis for developing RMS design, fault diagnosis, and repair work, but the fault knowledge acquisition has been a bottleneck. At present, generally adopts using the accumulation of products’ field failure data or by the inductive method of failure mode analysis (FMEA). By collecting means and personnel quality limit, the accumulation of field failure data is inaccurate or inadequate [1], newly developed equipment usually misses little or no sample problem [2]. The FMEA method is a subjective method of empirical [3], with heavy and cumbersome work; results of analysis are often doubtful in adequacy and consistency [4].
