ABSTRACT

Writing is an important course with highly specific content of business English learning, possessing distinct characteristics and strict writing requirements. Compared to general English writing, BusinessEnglish writing is more rigorous, concise, summarized, standardized and professional. Certain writing skills and methods are necessary for Business-English writing in order to make the content more full and reasonable. Schema teaching is a relatively scientific teaching theory, and the combination of schema theory with the teaching of Business-English writing is a very crucial step to improve students’ writing levels. More importantly, it is also the prerequisite for the success of Business-English writing. Schema is divided into many aspects according to different content, and the aspect related to Business-English writing includes language schema, form schema, content schema and structure schema [1]. This study focused on analyzing the application of schema teaching in business English from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
