ABSTRACT

Available literatures about vertical-axis tidalcurrent turbine have been focused on the torque characteristics of blades subjected to incoming flow from certain direction at a given speed. Akiyoshi Iida [3] investigated the aerodynamic performance of vertical-axis wind turbines subjected to unsteady flow based on the large eddy simulation method. WANG Lubing [4] adopted panel method to build the multiblade nonstationary motion vortex element model and analyzed the interaction effect between the blades and the trailing vortex as well as between different blades.
