ABSTRACT

Ozone is the only elementary substance that has the characteristic of polarity. It shows various solubilities in different types of solutions. In addition, ozone is also a strong oxidant. The hydroxyl-free radical (▪OH) decomposed from ozone can oxidize all types of reducing substances in the solution, and oxidation products are pollution-free. Therefore, the study of ozone solubility and decomposition rules in the solution with different conditions will be helpful to understand the mechanism of reaction by ozone in solution and improve its efficiency of oxidation.
