ABSTRACT

Nitrogen oxides have a serious influence on air pollution. It is one of the main sources of air pollution and acid rain and the main ingredient of the photochemical smog (Xu and Kang 2007). According to the prediction of experts, the discharge amount of NOx will exceed that of SO2 and become the biggest pollutant of acid gas pollution in the future (Liang and Zhong 2009). Selective noncatalytic reduction (SNCR) is an economic and eective NOx control technology (Li et  al. 2010), and has many advantages such as low capital and operation cost, simple process modification, and short construction period (Wang et al. 2009). Thus, it has been applied widely in coal-fired boilers, garbage incineration boilers, and cement kilns.
