Gasifier type has significant influences on IGCC power plant performances [1,2]. Presently, most research about IGCC power plant has been focused on one-stage gasifier [3,4]. Although E-Gas gasifier has high gasification cold gas efficiency and low capital cost [5], few research are conducted on this two-stage coal water slurry gasifier [6]. Liu et al. [7] have studied the effects of gasification temperature, gasification pressure, and oxygen purity on the performances of a 200-MW IGCC power plant. In this paper, the influences of other gasification parameters, including coal water slurry concentration, oxygen to coal water slurry mass ratio, and carbon conversion rate will be examined to benefit the application of E-Gas gasifier in a 400-MW IGCC power plant.
