ABSTRACT

Investigation of possibility for recycling asphalts with polymer modified bitumen from surface layers into new high quality surface layers using hot mix recycling was the aim of the RECYPMA project. The project is a part of trans-national cross-border funded Joint Research Program that was initiated by „ERA-NET ROAD II“. ERA-NET ROAD II is a Coordination Action funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. One part of the project was focused on laboratory investigation that was performed in order to study the effect of the use of reclaimed asphalt with polymer modified bitumen on the properties new mixtures that describe the performance of asphalt. The results of laboratory tests and conclusion published in Komačka et al. (2013) are presented in the paper.
