ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The immunomodulatory effects of a polysaccharide (BBP3-1) extracted from Blueberry were evaluated by Delayed type hypersensitivity, lymphocytes proliferation and ability of peritoneal macrophage phagocytizing neutral red in vitro. The results showed that BBP3-1 high dose group (400 mg/kg of weight. D) indicated a extremely significant inhibition effect of on DTH of mice (p < 0.01), and could also promote T lymphocytes proliferation enhance and the ability of peritoneal macrophage phagocytizing neutral red (p < 0.01). It was concluded that the BBP3-1 could enhance the immunocompetence function of normal mice.
