ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This paper presents the modeling of precast RC beam-column corner joint with corbels using Ruaumoko Programming. Hysteresis loops (load versus displacement) curve is compared between experimental and modeling results. The experimental work is carried out on a full-scale specimen which representing the precast RC beam-column corner joint with corbels. This specimen is tested under reversible lateral cyclic loading up to ±1.35% inter-story drift. Modeling work is carried out using Hysteres Program in Ruaumoko 2D. A curve of hysteresis loop for beam-column corner joint is generated using Pampanin Reinforced Concrete Beam-Column Joint Hysteresis Model with reloading slip factor. The modeling result is compared with experimental work. It was found that the hysteresis loops exhibited good agreement between experimental and modeling results. The effective stiffness, displacement ductility and equivalent viscous damping for the specimen are also discussed and compared in this paper.
