ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research is to evaluate the reliability and validity of successive survey using sampling rotation under stratified cluster sampling and its formulae based on Monte Carlo simulation. Physical indicators (e g. vital capacity) of some students in a city were taken as simulative population parameters. Monte Carlo simulation was conducted with SAS programming when sampling ratios were 10% and 40% respectively. 100 samples in each sampling ratio were simulated and 95% CIs (confidence intervals) could be acquired. Almost all the CIs of the 100 estimated population means at each sampling ratio include the corresponding simulative population mean. Successive survey using sample rotation under stratified cluster sampling and its formulae are of high reliability and validity which can be applied to large-scale investigation.
