ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Saltation is one of the important transport modes in the movement of wind-blown grains. Here, based on the theoretical model of sand saltation evolution with consideration of two feedback mechanisms which are the wind-sand mechanism and the particle mid-air mechanism, the entire process of wind-sand flow with non-spherical particle is simulated quantitatively. The results showed that the sand shape would effect on the time of the entire process to reach a steady state and the transport flux at the steady state.
