ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A computational aided system for safety assessment of buildings in post-earthquake based onWeb is described in this article. Safety assessment of damaged buildings in post-earthquake is a significant and strong timeliness required job for earthquake emergency relief. The functional structure and functional logic of the system and workflow of safety assessment module are studied in depth. The input of the system is the subjective information of damaged buildings on site by inspectors which are possibly not experts of the safety assessment field. The system is based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) algorithm model and an effective tool for providing decisions about damage levels and safety of the post-earthquake buildings. Especially users can register and use the system once the computer connects with the Internet. Typical interfaces of the system are given and the system optimization is proposed.
