ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The working characteristics of Natural Circulating Evaporator (NCE) were analyzed and a mathematical model was established, revealing the internal law of transition from thermal energy to work. The results revealed that the mechanical energy needed by the circulation of fluid was less than 2% of input of external thermal energy, and the thermal energy inputted almost all contributed to the evaporation of liquid. Under the condition of low thermal energy input (Q < 500 W), the simulation values by the model were testified with experimental data. The errors between simulation values and experimental values of circulation flow rate and evaporation rate were within 15%, respectively.
