ABSTRACT
Before any finite element code is used, it must be validated. Unfortunately, this basic elementary step is too often forgotten by engineers who (conveniently) ignore this most basic step.
This chapter will first address the role of benchmarks, and then present results of Benchmark problems, devised by the author and Prof. Sellier (Appendix A) obtained by the Author’s model (and coded in the MERLIN finite element code).
