ABSTRACT
World population was 3 billion in 1960, 7 billion in 2010 and forecasts for 2050 show an estimate of over 9 billion. During the same, time the number of production animals (cattle, chicken and pigs) has changed from 46 billion in 1960 to 221 billion in 2010 (FAO Database, 2013).
