ABSTRACT

Architects & engineers worldwide have been focusing in the last decades to improve all-glass façades and structures. This would allow them to provide their buildings with the maximum transparency possible by minimizing the obstructions of any skeleton made of steel or other opaque materials appearing in large surface of the façades or joints. Maximizing transparency appears to be a significantly challenging task, especially when combined with a large scale glass construction, since a successful range of precedents focuses only on small scale facades.
