ABSTRACT
Twenty years the city of Venlo had to wait, but in October 2013, the massive glass sculpture the Sphinx was finally unveiled (Figure 1). Several stacked glass sculptures have been realized over the years (see e.g. Smith, A., 2010 and Wurm, J., 2007), but the Sphinx takes it to a new level through its size and shape.
