ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Triclocarban (TCC) is the most frequently detected organic pollutants in both wastewater and surface water. This paper presented an analytical method for the rapid determination of TCC in wastewater. The method involves the extraction and clean-up of the target compound by using Agela Cleanert PEP Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) and detection with Ultra-High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC). Under the optimized conditions, the limit of detection of the method is 35 ng/L. The spiked recoveries of the TCC in wastewater samples were achieved in the range of 96.5%–105.3%. This method was successfully used in monitoring the wastewater samples from a traditional wastewater treatment plants.
