The use of ceramic materials for frameworks of fixed dental prosthesis has increased considerably in the last decade (Manicone 2007). Although the success in function and aesthetic has been described in the literature, it has also been reported the occurrence of chipping in the ceramic veneer (Bonfante 2009, De Backer 2006 & Tsumita 2008).
