ABSTRACT
With the wide application of RFID, all kinds of attacks against RF card have emerged and keep growing. As a result, the security and confidentiality of the RFID system is becoming more and more important. All kinds of attacks may occur to the RFID system including unintentional activities, such as faulty operation in electronic transactions, and intentional activities, such as illegal card cheating, interception and tampering of data in all kinds of transactions. Modern authentication protocol also involved the detection of the private key and appropriate algorithm can be employed for encoding. Highly-secured RFID system should keep away the following attacks including: 1) data copying/modification and unauthorised read of data carrier;
2) Insertion of external data into the inquiry range of a certain reader in order to obtain unauthorised access to buildings or free services; 3) Fraud such as the radio communication stealth and data rewrite by acting as the actual data carrier.
