ABSTRACT

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) is a distributed information system, which consists of one or more sinks and large number of sensor nodes. The sensor nodes collect perception data and send it to the sink through the way of multi-hop[1]. There are several reasons which can lead to local or even global congestion in wireless sensor networks: Densely deployment of sensor nodes, resource-constrained node, multi-hop communication method and many-to-one convergence property[2]. Congestion always results in packet losses, transmission collision and an increase in transmission latency[3], which severely affecting the network performance. Therefore, how to control congestion effectively is a problem need to be solved urgently, and congestion control research is getting increasingly concerned.
