ABSTRACT
Many products are mixtures of several components. A mixture experiment involves mixing the components in various proportions within an experimental region and observing the response for each mixture (Piepel et al. 2009). Experiments to study mixtures of several components occur commonly in a variety of coatings applications. The relative proportion of each components included in the composite is thought to influence the overall product characteristics and hence is of importance.
