ABSTRACT
Face detection is to determine whether there are any faces in the given image and video, and if exist, return the size, pose and range of each face [1]. Face detection is the first step of any face processing system, which is not only applied to face recognition, also can be used in many fields of vehicle safety driving, vision inspection, digital video processing and so on. Face detection is a challenging task and the detection process is affected by many factors, such as the difference of human’s appearance, occlusions on the face, imaging angle and light conditions, something similar to face color in nature. Therefore, face detection has been one of the hot researches by scholars at home and abroad.
