ABSTRACT
With the increasing number of surveillance cameras in the city, the video data are rapid growth. How to quickly obtain the information required by the user has become a key issue of intelligent video surveillance system. In surveillance applications, people are concerned on only a smaller proportion of the target picture, instead of the features of the whole image. In the retrieval, people more expect to find occurrences of the same target at different times and different locations. Usually, the target is moving rather than stationary. Therefore, the existing Internet video retrieval methods are usually difficult to be applied to surveillance video retrieval. The research of moving target discovery provides feasibility and support for retrieval, which is for the moving target object.
