ABSTRACT

For computing the H∞ norm of transfer function matrix, various method has been presented, for example, the method of finding large singular value of transfer function matrix [1], and the iterative algorithm under certain conditions [2]. In [3] [4] [5], different methods of computation the H∞ norm are offered by their authors. Recently, Belur and Praagman offer a new method (2011), the main idea is: by directly computing the isolated common zero of two special bivariate polynomials. Unfortunately, the arguments may have defects. Belur and Praagman’s method is based on theorem 5 (2011). To prove theorem 5, it implies using the following proposition.
